Stylish radio for on-the-go and more. There has been a lot of positive written about this device, so I agree with it. I have one problem in the internet realm. It is quite weak compared to other devices. Unfortunately otherwise it would be a perfect radio. So I gave it 4 stars
You can find good reviews. The radio is very selective and picks up weak signals surprisingly well. When it comes to overreach, you can feel it for yourself thanks to its excellent selectivity. But in detail: 1) FM In FM, the DUAL MCR 200 is very receptive and selective. Sometimes it is possible to isolate the transmitter between very strong signals at 100 kHz. The trick is that the radio can set the filter settings very narrow. For example, if you have a very powerful transmitter at 88.6 MHz, and a weak but well-absorbing signal at 88.7 MHz right next to it, you can isolate it without problems. The radio switches aloud with a narrower filter. If the useful signal from the transmitter right next to you isn’t that strong, with a little training you can bring the radio into a narrow filter. In most cases, narrow filters can be forced through target fading and change the motion of the antenna. You can hear the transition sound. Once locked, you can now see if something is on an adjacent frequency. Compared to the TECSUN 390, the narrow filter allows the VHF to receive some transmitters that Tecsun can’t manage because of the interference. Compared to the Tecsun, the DUAL is slightly less sensitive, but the selectivity is awesome. Of course, it’s not a car radio with a DSP chip, but it’s pretty much the same. I’ve been lucky enough to have an out-of-range recently. And the radio could show what was in it. We did not find any major problems with processor interference. The frequencies usually sound pretty clear. The radio is a bit muted on free frequencies, but don’t be fooled. The signal opens quickly. 2) DAB+ is good but not very good. This is mainly about a weak muxx connecting to a radio with a Venice or Verona chip. However, the DUAL MCR 200 also has poor reception. He plays standard mux neatly. I like the display so far. It is also the first device to display the station logo and DAB slides. Here you can see some of the critiques already mentioned by some reviewers. Slides in DAB+ cannot be enlarged to full screen as of September 2021. This doesn’t bother me personally. Most broadcasters use this feature only for special effects anyway. I’m still a little sad. Station Search sorts the stations alphabetically by Muxx. So, not by AZ in the whole list, but by Muxx AZ that has advantages. It seems to me that it also stores all stations in muxx and doesn’t overwrite duplicate stations. At least on the list is Radio Teddy from Bavaria and Hesse. This also has advantages and disadvantages. 3) Internet radio router to WLAN and saved hotspot in mobile phone. This way you can use it on the go. The station database lags a bit behind the Frontier Silicon channel list, but despite everything you can find what you’re looking for. Many stations have a deposited station logo. You look smart. You can also manage callers using a browser without a portal. It’s good for the future. The transmitter is very convenient with fast charging. 4) Overall, I was very positively surprised that the menu was logical, functional and neat. The radio sounds good. It’s really small and cute. Some features, such as Bluetooth music transfer, have not been tested yet. Because, after all, a small radio has a lot of features. There is a short delay when I press a lot of keys quickly, but overall it works very well. There are pros and cons of having a built-in battery, but since the battery should be standard, it should be replaced by a trained person at the end of its useful life. The 3 favorite buttons are free to use, regardless of FM, Internet or DAB. In addition to the three physical buttons, you can create other favorites that can be selected via the menu. Conclusion: Recommend! Refresh yourself and find something else. A lot of things fit right there. I wish a narrower FM filter setup would come with more DSP models. It would be much better if these settings could be configured completely manually. But overall I am satisfied. It’s fun to scan the band every day on this radio.
. It’s a button and only the on/off switch you have to hold down for a long time (often over 3 seconds to turn it off) is quite annoying. The device has already been broken once. This means that it will no longer respond to key presses, so you can’t even turn the switch off. Solution: Wait for the battery to drain. After recharging the battery, it is working again without any problems for a while.
Before we begin, very big compliments to the courier service for their fast delivery. Ordered Tuesday, arrived Wednesday. hammer!! Special thanks to the seller of the ELV Elektronik. He packaged the product carefully and well protected in an oversized cardboard box and put a free ballpoint pen on it for a little extra. That’s how customer service works! Product Information: You can’t believe what’s inside this small, discreet box. You really have your ears on it, lol! I have been collecting radio receivers for FM DX reception for many years, so I have a modified Sangean ATS 909-W at 130kHz, although I attach great importance to maximum receive sensitivity and of course a bandwidth filter below 150kHz power. FM filter and RDS from 2007, but unfortunately the device is on, but the duration is too large and heavy. My favorite radio on FM DX since 2015, unfortunately no RDS! I wanted to order the DUAL MCR-200 as an additional DAB+ receiver. Because I also have internet radio via Skytune as my first device. If I had such a device in my collection, I would have loved it! But now what I wasn’t expecting at all is the almost overwhelming response from FM. I have never experienced such high power and receiver sensitivity. Obviously the receiver automatically switches the filter bandwidth to the frequency of FM. Obviously a working intelligent DSP chip can separate filter bandwidths up to 100kHz. The perfect FM DX machine! Suddenly I am receiving an FM radio station I have never seen before. For example France Bleu Nord at 94.7 MHz right next to a strong signal with SWR 3 to 94.8 MHz, so far my radio receiver couldn’t handle that. Absolute reference class! Even at low-performing local stations like Radio Sauerland at distances over 100 km, this little magic box will receive it without any problems. Even my Tecsun PL-390 couldn’t receive it and it’s already DX compatible! But before the MCR-200 burst into joy, I came to the following conclusions: – For a giveaway, you can get an incredibly versatile and smart receiver to hear “grass grow” on DAB+’s FM. Shining with over 100 channels on the second floor and a huge selection of stations via skytune, this wave catcher is perhaps the “best radio for FM & DAB”. A masterpiece of compact, modern DSP technology! My little insider tip for more FM fun: Manual search for FM can be activated by holding the OK button for 3 seconds. Enjoy!! I’ve been looking for it for over 12 years and I finally found it. A complete FM DX receiver that rivals any good car radio, the DUAL MCR-200
Portable radio collection, great nightstand radio, nice small screen, very good reception DAB, FM and especially internet without antenna, the sound is accurate. It’s a German booklet, but it’s made in China. I strongly advise you not to be disappointed.
