EASTENDERS HAS revealed Linda Carter’s fate as she emerges from her coma next week.

Scarlett (Tabitha Byron) informs Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) about the cut her mum had on her head, forcing Janine to lie about it.

Janine then faces a new threat when she learns Scarlett is on to her and has even told Sonia about one of Janine’s lies. It is not long before Scarlett learns she was involved in the car crash.

Despite Janine’s pleas, Scarlett later heads off to The Vic to reveal everything.

On Thursday’s episode, Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) and the rest of her family – including daughter Nancy Carter (Maddy Hill) received some devastating news as the doctor updated them on her health.

Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) was actually responsible for the crash but she blamed Linda for what happened.

A doctor came into see the family and admitted the injury had been worse than they thought.

This could mean one of the soaps longest running characters would be permanently affected by memory loss.

The doctor said: “Linda is stable. However, the trauma to the brain is worse than we thought. There’s no way of knowing what state she’ll be in until she comes around. She might not remember the crash, or the hours, days, months even leading up to it”.

“I don’t mean to alarm you – but you need to prepare yourself, she may no longer be the Linda you know. There isn’t anything I can tell you at the moment, I’m sorry, but I’ll keep you informed. You may be better off waiting for news at home.”

Nancy was horrified by the news and she broke down in tears.

Now fans of the BBC One soap are predicting that Janine will get away with her lies.

“Omg Linda might have amnesia and Janine is gonna get away with it all!! # EastEnders,” one fan wrote.

A second added: “damn I wonder if Linda will have memory loss then #Eastenders.”

A third penned: “Janine is celebrating internally at Linda’s potential memory loss #EastEnders,” with a fourth writing: “Linda better wake up from her coma & not have memory loss! #eastenders.”

  • Emmerdale: Jamie could STILL be alive

In recent weeks we have seen tensions raised as Gabby is terrified that Jamie is back in the flesh to haunt her.

Looks like she was right, and Jamie has faked his own death.

Last month, she accidentally shot Will Taylor, believing it was Jamie stalking her in the woods.

Jamie’s mother, Kim Tate doesn’t know what to believe and is stunned when Will spends £3,000 on a DNA kit to find out whether the mysterious man lucking around Home Farm a few weeks back might have actually been Jamie.

It wasn’t a match, however that doesn’t mean Jamie is gone for good.

A third viewer complained, alongside a cry laughing emoji: “Marlon already nearly back to normal Marlon lol if only REAL stroke victims had such a quick recovery PATHETIC.”

Another noted: “Angry Marlon didn’t even stutter. That’s him on the mend.”

She added: “I haven’t watched the show recently so don’t actually know, but always love it and wasn’t discrediting.

“I know that self-harm isn’t a joke, obviously, and love any soap that tackles hard stories. It’s been taken out of context!”

AFTER being on the brink of death due to a horrific car crash, Linda Carter finally wakes up from her coma.

But this is bad news for Janine Butcher as her plans are on the verge of being exposed next week in EastEnders.

Linda Carter (portrayed by Kellie Bright) returned to Albert Square in the hopes that life would be smooth sailing for her, despite being estranged from her husband Mick (Danny Dyer).

However, their rivalry for the Vic landlord’s affections reached troubling heights in recent scenes of the long-running BBC One soap.

Janine chased Linda down, finding her drunk in the middle of nowhere, in the hopes she wouldn’t tell Mick about the money she had taken from their daughter Nancy.

While she begged for Linda to keep quiet, Janine was too distracted from the road and crashed the vehicle – before leaving Linda behind in a critical condition.

Thankfully, next week, the Carters are relieved when Linda wakes up at the hospital, where she has remained since the crash.
