One mother told the story of a lifelong “mamma” tattooed with the killer’s name with a knife around her neck.

Natalie Mallette, 37, believed the evil Norman Duncan, 43, was her soul mate when she agreed to an ink match for £80.

Norman Duncan was convicted of murder.

His nickname “Nozzie” was engraved on her neck and her initials on her wrist.

But now they are daily reminders of the former monster who spent at least 20 years in prison for stabbing her innocent grandmother, Margaret Robertson, 54, with a knife in her apartment in Aberdeen last month.

“He crippled me forever,” said Natalie from the city.

“It’s a pity because I see his name every time I look in the mirror.

“When I tie my hair, I’m afraid someone will see his name and know.”

When Natalie was 21, she got in touch with Duncan, whose friend had been imprisoned for violence. They became pen pals and she visited him at the Craiginches Nick in Aberdeen.

They moved together when he came out, but within a few days he started beating her.

The two slept wildly in London before Duncan was caged again.

When he was released, they became addicted to drugs.

The mother of three finally parted forever with the beast, which was sent back to prison in 2011.

She said: “He’s a demon disguised as a human. He beat me black and blue over and over again, but lied that he fell off the stairs.”

“Everything came back to life,” Natalie said when she learned that a maniac killed Margaret in 2019. He was previously found guilty of 74 counts and sentenced to 58 counts of imprisonment.

Natalie, who is currently receiving social care training to help other victims of domestic violence, added:
