KRIS BOYD believes the Rangers’ Europa League dream is still alive, despite a tough 1-0 first leg loss last night.
Gers was second best in Portugal and Abel Ruiz’s first half strike split the two teams into the return leg next week.
Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s team needs to improve their game on Ibrox for a chance to save the campaign.
And while Boyd thinks his former club still has every chance to make progress, he insists he must find a way to cope without starman Alfredo Morelos.
He said in an interview with Sky Sports: “It wasn’t the Rangers’ best performance, especially in Europe. They have reached heights that Rangers fans would not have thought the Rangers could reach in Europe.
“Tonight wasn’t the best game, but the tie is still in effect. I still imagine a chance to reverse the deficit when they return Braga to Ibrox next week.

“It wasn’t the best performance. Tonight I kept mentioning that the Rangers are missing Alfredo Morelos. It’s no use. he won’t be there
“Rangers will have to find a solution to overcome the team. It felt like there was a difference in the Rangers’ play when Giovanni van Bronckhorst made a substitution shortly after the match.
“They have been able to get James Tavernier up the pitch and he’s important to what the Rangers want to do, how they want to play and create opportunities.
“It lacked the last ball tonight, but the Rangers will want a chance to turn this around.”
