Scotland has a hotter spring than Tenerife as temperatures rise to 19 degrees Celsius tomorrow.
The Meteorological Agency said the sizzling smell could last all week after Scotland soaked up the sun in its parks and beaches today.
Wester Ross’ Kinlochewe enjoyed the warmest day in England on Saturday 2022 at 20°C (68°F).
And forecaster Aidan McGivern said millions can expect “at least” more “seven days” of sunshine.
An expert from the Korea Meteorological Administration said, “The spring sun will shine more throughout this week.
“High pressure near the east is increasingly concentrated around the UK from Wednesday to Thursday and Friday.
“That high pressure doesn’t go where you’d expect it to. There will be plenty of warm sunshine for the next seven days.”
Despite the frosty and foggy start of March yesterday morning, the temperature in Glasgow today recorded 16C.
And Scotland tomorrow will be 19C, with an average temperature of over 10C in mid-March and 9C in the warm air of the continent, higher than the 18C forecast for Tenerife.
However, mornings can still be chilly and in Scotland it can reach minus 3 degrees.
“Highest temperatures are expected to rise to 20 degrees Celsius above average throughout the week,” the Meteorological Administration said.
Channel 4 weathercaster Liam Dutton added:
BBQ weather is driving the off-season sausage, burger and beer sales boom, and supermarkets are busy stocking up.
Supermarket sales trends data show that hamburger sales surged 50% and popsicle sales tripled.
Tesco is expected to sell more than 250,000 packets of sausage, more than a million bottles of beer and a million bottles of wine in the UK this week.
Asda will be selling more than 500,000 burgers and more than 250,000 sausages this week.
