To those who know the Laudemio olive oil brand, admit that it is a world famous name for its products of unparalleled quality.
Why is this brand so respected for the quality of its processes and the flavor it delivers? Learn how the production and preparation of olive oil works.
What is Frescobaldi Rudemio?
Laudemio products are made in Italy and are extra virgin olive oil for the most demanding palate. In 2020, it was honored with the Gold Medal at the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.
For those of you who don’t know, this is the world’s largest and most important olive oil competition held in New York in the spring. The annual list of winners is significant enough to be considered the benchmark for the best extra virgin olive oil of the year.
One of the factors that rank olive oil as good is that the lower the acidity factor, the better. Laudemio is about 0.2% incomparable to other types.
In the entire process, only oils carefully selected by the producer are given the name Raudemio, and oils that have not passed a rigorous analysis process are not labeled with this label.
The scent of freshly cut grass is followed by heart notes of artichokes and green olives. The taste is surprisingly balanced with a pronounced bitterness, sparkling flavor and long lasting fruity notes.
The origin of the name Rudemio comes from the origin of fame. It was this name that provided the best part of the harvest left for feudal lords when they existed.
What makes the product stand out even more is Florence, the place where it is made. The climate is extreme and the 741 acres of highlands owned by the Frescobaldi family are home to three nutritious olives.
All processes are strictly controlled in every detail and are very external. When you harvest the olives that are starting to ripen, grind them for 6 hours on the same day.
Filtering using 20 sheets of paper is a big differentiator because competitors use paper filters or none at all. It is then tested by a consortium of 20 producers to evaluate whether it is within the parameters.
