A woman was seriously injured after a serious dog attack in a Scottish village.

The incident took place last month at Airth just north of Falkirk.

The attack occurred around 4:30 p.m. on June 8.

An Alsatian dog took the lead and attacked the woman.

He was bitten by a dog and suffered serious injuries.

Police later began an investigation into the attack.

Police urged anyone with information to come out.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Police said: “We are seeking witnesses of a serious dog attack in Ayers on the 22nd of August around 4:30pm.”

“A woman suffered serious injuries after being bitten by an Alsatian dog who failed to lead.

“Call 101 and quote Inc 0486 on 9/6/22 for information.”
