If you are blonde and have highlights or silver locks, you will know the importance of purple shampoo.
However, if it usually involves applying this lightening elixir to wet hair in the shower, then a hairdresser can convince you to change this.

In a short clip on TikTok, British fashion and hair fan Milena (@milenapui) explains why it’s best to use purple shampoo for dry hair.
At the beginning of the viral video – over 1.6 million views in two days – Milena could be seen standing in front of a bright ring light while squeezing a generous amount of toning product into her dry locks.
Although not mentioned in the clip, it’s worth noting that it’s also a good idea to wear a top that won’t break or throw in the trash.
Then, using her hands, she distributes the shampoo evenly all over her hair, and then lets it do the magic for 5 minutes.

After some time, she rinsed off the product and demonstrated the end result.
Wearing a black top with two gold pendant necklaces, Milena transformed her slightly brassy hair into the cool-toned blonde locks she styled.
In fact, the results were so good that some convinced her that she went to the hairdresser.
Most purple shampoos tend to dry out, but Milena admits she used the mask after treatment, but insisted it felt “great”.
However, not everyone was a fan as she seemed to like the final look, but some claimed it didn’t work.
”It has turned purple. Just ” One critic complained and another said ”I have it, but it doesn’t work.”

Someone else warned hair lovers: ”After two months, my hair is still lavender. [sic].”
However, negative feedback is not the only thing others have noted in support of Milena:
”Fun fact, pigments are better for drying hair. Basically, the water fills the hair and it doesn’t stick that fast and doesn’t stick as much!” A fellow expert explained the logic behind this hack.

Milena is a British beauty blogger and balayage expert who regularly shares great looks and tutorials on social media.
Her videos have amassed a total of 831,000 likes and close to 65,000 followers on TikTok.
